Ravil Maganov, chairman of the board of directors of the Russian oil company Lukoil, has died. According to the Russian media, a top manager of an oil company fell out of a sixth-floor window of the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow.

“This morning, Maganov fell out of the window of the Central Clinical Hospital. He died from his injuries,” the Interfax news agency reported Thursday.

Maganov was appointed the chair of Lukoil’s board in 2020, after the death of the previous chair, Valery Graifer.

This is not the first mysterious death of top Russian managers since the start of Russia’s war on Ukraine:

In July, the body of Yury Voronov, the head of the Astra Shipping company, which works on Gazprom’s Arctic contracts, was found floating in his mansion pool with a bullet in his head.

In April, the bodies of former Gazprombank vice-president Vladislav Avaev, his wife, and his daughter were found in an apartment in Moscow.

The bodies of Novatek top manager Sergei Protosenya, his wife, and his daughter were found in Spain.

Billionaire Alexander Subbotin, who previously worked as a top manager at Lukoil, died in mysterious circumstances near Moscow in May.
