Four people were killed and several others injured as Russian forces launched a wave of overnight attacks on multiple regions of Ukraine from July 11 to 12, impacting Chernivtsi, Lviv, Lutsk, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, and Kyiv.
Chernivtsi
A missile and kamikaze drones hit Chernivtsi Region at dawn, killing four civilians – a 26-year-old woman, a 45-year-old woman, a 43-year-old man, and a 65-year-old man, according to local officials. “Another four people are in serious condition. Doctors are fighting to save their lives. One woman is critically injured,” said regional governor Ruslan Zaparanyuk. The strikes damaged residential buildings, shops, administrative offices, and cars in the city.

In the nearby Storozhynets community, a home and a vehicle were also damaged.
Lviv
In Lviv, Russian airstrikes injured nine people, three of whom were treated at the scene. Missiles struck Metropolitan Andrey and Olena Stepanivna Streets, damaging apartment buildings, a kindergarten, and dozens of vehicles. The Railway District saw a fire in a non-residential building, and trolleybus routes 22, 30, and 32 were suspended after the contact network was severed. Two industrial sites also caught fire following the strikes.

Lutsk
In Lutsk, a Russian strike destroyed a residential building, according to Mayor Ihor Polishchuk. The blast also shattered windows in nearby buildings and set a car on fire. No casualties were reported.
Kirovohrad Region
Some 10 homes were damaged in the Holovanivskyi district of Kirovohrad Region. Roofs, doors, windows, and fences were destroyed. No injuries were reported.
Kyiv
Air defenses were deployed in the capital. Explosions, likely from air defense, were heard in several areas of the city.
Kharkiv
Kharkiv came under heavy fire in the morning, with 10 aerial attacks – including two guided bombs (KABs) and eight drones.
One strike ignited a fire at an inactive industrial facility, and another hit a critical infrastructure site.
Two men, aged 33 and 55, were hospitalized with injuries, regional governor Oleh Synehubov reported.
Poland
On X, the Polish Air Force reported that it had scrambled fighter jets and that air defense systems were on their highest as Russia conducted its aerial bombardment of western Ukraine.
