Zelensky Confirms Deep Strikes on Russian ‘Temp’ Fuel Reserve and ‘Azot’ Chemical Plant

Ukrainian long-range drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine struck the “Temp” state fuel reserve in the Yaroslavl region – over 700 kilometers from the border – and the “Azot” chemical plant in the Tula region. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operations, labeling them effective “long-range sanctions.” The strikes ignited large-scale fires at both facilities, degrading Russia’s supply of military fuel and explosives precursors.

As reported by Ukrinform, “explosions were heard in Kharkiv on the night of Aug. 2-3. The enemy attacked the city with Shahed drones.”

On Sunday, August 3, at 02:00, Vitalii Karabanov wrote in his Telegram channel about an enemy drone hitting a private household in the city of Balakliya.

“All services are working, people are being provided with the necessary assistance,” Karabanov added.

Karabanov followed that with another Telegram post, where he reported 10 UAV strikes causing damage and starting fires in 10 residential buildings in the city.
