President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a high-level coordination call with US President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron following the conclusion of the G7 summit.

Describing the discussion as an “important coordination conversation that could change a lot,” Zelensky said the leaders reviewed the negotiations held during the summit and discussed next steps.

The call focused on strengthening Ukraine, expanding cooperation with key allies and advancing diplomatic efforts to bring the war closer to an end.

Zelensky thanked Trump for his attention to Ukraine and his readiness to help bring peace closer. He also thanked Macron for what he described as the excellent organization of the G7 summit and France’s consistently strong cooperation with Kyiv.

The conversation signals continued diplomatic coordination between Ukraine and its key Western partners.

Zelensky met Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France on Monday, where he pushed for additional air defense support and renewed pressure on Russia.
