A Russian Molniya drone hit a high-rise apartment building in Sumy late Thursday, striking the technical floor of the residential block in the city’s Kovpakivskyi district, local authorities said.
Serhiy Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, said the strike occurred late in the evening and damaged the roof and technical floor of the building.

Preliminary reports indicated there were no casualties.
Sumy, located near Ukraine’s northeastern border with Russia, has faced repeated Russian drone and missile attacks targeting civilian areas and infrastructure.
