Early Saturday morning, June 27, Russian forces targeted the city of Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs, resulting in six casualties.
Russian guided bombs strike Zaporizhzhia
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that three guided bombs struck the city, causing damage to a high-rise apartment building as well as other residential and non-residential structures. Among the six injured individuals is a 13-year-old child.

Following the initial strikes, the regional administration issued warnings regarding the threat of further aerial bomb attacks on the city and the wider region, advising residents to remain in shelters.
Municipal authorities have opened hotlines and a call center to assist those requiring evacuation or other aid while damage assessments continue.
Prior strikes in Zaporizhzhia and Nikopol
The Saturday morning bombardment follows earlier strikes on Zaporizhzhia. On Friday, Russian drone attacks in the city caused fires, damaged a building and several vehicles, and resulted in injuries to nine people, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The attacks in Zaporizhzhia occurred alongside continued strikes in the neighboring Dnipropetrovsk region. On Friday, a Russian FPV drone struck a minibus in the city of Nikopol. Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, stated that the attack killed two people and injured 13 others.
Among the injured in Nikopol were two 12-year-old girls, who were hospitalized in a moderate condition. Five adults also required inpatient treatment, including two men and one woman reported to be in serious condition. The remaining injured individuals were slated for outpatient care.

The regional administration noted that Russian forces targeted the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts approximately 40 times throughout Friday using both drones and artillery systems.
