One person was killed and 20 others, including four children, were injured after Russia launched a combined drone and guided bomb attack on Kharkiv on Tuesday, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.

The deadliest strike hit the city’s Shevchenkivskyi district, where three Russian guided aerial bombs struck a residential area.

According to Terekhov, one person was killed, while 20 others were injured, including four children. Residential buildings and several vehicles were damaged or destroyed in the attack.

According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov, the victim was a 54-year-old man. Among the injured was a 12-year-old boy who sustained blast injuries and required medical treatment. The bombs struck a roadway, while the blast wave shattered windows in a nearby building and damaged parked vehicles.

Earlier, a Russian strike drone hit a gas station in the Shevchenkivskyi district, setting one of its fuel pumps on fire. Initially, no casualties were reported, but authorities later said a female employee suffered an acute stress reaction.

Another drone fell near a gas station in the Kholodnohirskyi district. Officials are still assessing the consequences of that strike.

Emergency crews continue working at the impact sites as authorities assess the full extent of the damage.
