A Russian drone attack on the town of Valky in Kharkiv region overnight into Friday, July 10, killed one woman and left three other people injured or affected, local authorities reported.

Oleg Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said the strike hit Valky in the Bohodukhiv district.

“A 50-year-old woman was killed,” Syniehubov wrote on social media. “A 23-year-old woman was also injured and hospitalized. A 27-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy suffered acute stress reactions. Medics provided all necessary assistance on the scene.”

The attack sparked a fire and damaged five private homes and two outbuildings, according to regional authorities.

Emergency services were working in an enhanced mode at the site of the strike.

The attack came after Russian forces struck an industrial facility in Odesa region late on Thursday, triggering a fire.
