A Russian ballistic missile strike on the Odesa region killed four people and injured seven, leaving two of them in critical condition.
According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the strike hit a civilian facility and the territory of a gas station, where cargo and passenger vehicles and a route minibus caught fire before firefighters brought the blaze under control.

Kiper expressed his sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased, adding that “doctors are doing everything possible to save” the lives of the two people hospitalized in extremely critical condition.
He said emergency and utility services remained on scene, working to clear debris and eliminate the consequences of the attack.
The air raid alert for Odesa region has been lifted, but authorities continue to urge residents to heed warnings and seek shelter during future alerts.
Recent strikes and incidents in Odesa and Kyiv
On Tuesday, Russian armed forces hit an industrial facility in the Odesa region with a ballistic missile carrying cluster munitions, injuring at least nine people, five of whom were hospitalized.
The Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office has opened a pre-trial investigation into suspected war crimes in connection with the attack, citing Part 1, Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
On Wednesday, an armed man locked himself and several others inside a hair salon in Odesa’s Khadzhybeyskyi district, prompting a large police operation that ended with officers later opening the premises and ending the standoff without injuries.

Most recently, a Russian drone strike on Kyiv’s Desnianskyi district killed three people and wounded 10 others, including two medics.
Russia launched a large-scale ballistic missile attack on Kyiv on Monday, killing at least 27 people and injuring dozens while striking residential neighborhoods across the capital, and prompting Mayor Vitali Klitschko to declare July 7 a Day of Mourning, in memory of the victims of what he described as “the most massive enemy attack on the capital.”
