Russian drone strikes targeted the Chernihiv and Kherson regions on July 11 and the morning of July 12, resulting in civilian casualties and property damage.
On the evening of July 11, a Russian attack drone struck a residential courtyard in a village within the Koriukivka community of the Chernihiv region. Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the strike killed a 44-year-old local resident who was outside at the time.

The blast also injured three people: a 12-year-old girl sustained shrapnel wounds, a 60-year-old man suffered acoustic trauma, and a 62-year-old woman experienced an acute stress reaction. The injured individuals were transported to medical facilities. The explosion caused damage to two residential buildings.
Additional drone attacks occurred across the Chernihiv region. In a suburb of Chernihiv, a drone explosion injured a 56-year-old man and damaged the facades and windows of nearby houses. A Molniya drone caused a roof fire at a store in Semenivka, while a Lancet drone struck a commercial truck in Novhorod-Siverskyi.
In the Kruty community, a Geran drone struck a food industry warehouse, causing a fire that was later extinguished. Regional authorities noted that energy and transport infrastructure were also hit over the past 24 hours.
Strikes continue in Kherson region
On the morning of July 12, Russian forces launched drone strikes against civilian targets in the Kherson region.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. local time, a drone targeted a passenger minibus in the center of Kherson. Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, stated that the driver potentially suffered a concussion, while a male bystander sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
At 9:00 a.m., another drone strike occurred in the village of Charivne within the Borozen community. The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that the attack injured a 50-year-old man, causing blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his abdomen and leg. He is currently receiving medical care and is in moderate condition.
Weekend attacks on Ukraine
These strikes in Chernihiv and Kherson follow a series of aerial assaults across multiple Ukrainian regions overnight from Saturday to Sunday.
In the city of Kryvyi Rih, a Shahed drone struck an industrial enterprise, resulting in two fatalities. In the Nikopol district, drone strikes hitting the city of Nikopol and the Marhanets community killed a 66-year-old man and damaged administrative and residential buildings.
The Kharkiv region also sustained damage. Drone strikes in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district injured three people, including a 16-year-old girl, and damaged over 20 residential structures.
Another drone caused a fire at a garage cooperative in the city’s Kyivskyi district. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces struck a food industry facility in the city of Dnipro.
