Russian Strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Region Kill 2, Injure 17, Including Children

Russian armed forces killed two people and wounded 17 others, including multiple children, in the most recent wave of nearly 40 strikes on the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, the attacks hit four districts using drones, artillery and aerial bombs throughout the day.

The deadliest strike hit Pavlohrad during the morning, killing two people and injuring 16 others. Three of the wounded remained hospitalized in moderate condition, while the rest, including children aged 1 and 13, were being treated on an outpatient basis.

In the Nikopol district, Russia targeted the communities of Nikopol, Pokrovske, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets, damaging infrastructure, a sports school, a cafe, an apartment and a private vehicle. An 81-year-old woman was injured and is currently receiving outpatient treatment.

Fires and damage across three districts

Russian shelling in the Synelnykove district struck the communities of Vasylkivka, Yavornytske and Petropavlivka, causing fires that damaged private homes, a store, several vehicles and a combine harvester. No casualties were reported in the district as of the latest update from regional authorities.

Farther south, in the Kryvyi Rih district, Russian armed forces struck the Zelenodolsk community. Details on the scale of destruction there had not yet been disclosed, however, the widespread nature of the strikes points to a coordinated effort to hit multiple communities simultaneously.
