The Swedish presidency of the Council of the European Union reported on its website that EU Defense Ministers are meeting in Stockholm on Mar. 7-8 to discuss military assistance to Ukraine at which a representative of Ukraine is attending.

This was further confirmed by a spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who said: "The defence ministers will first discuss the EU’s military support to Ukraine, especially the training of the Ukrainian armed forces by the EU’s assistance mission to Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine). Mission commanders will provide a status update at this sessionat which a representative from Ukraine will also be participating."

Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov will attend the event and provide EU ministers with an update on the current operations and identify the most critical priorities and needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

If the EU is serious about optimising the speed and ultimate cost of defeating Russia in Ukraine they might see the logic in providing ammunition and missing capabilities on a war footing, rather than via standard commercial procurement cycles
Similar attitudes must be a-plied to speed and number of Ukrainians being trained.
