Ukraine’s Sports Minister Vadym Gutzeit Set to Resign

The Head of Ukraine’s Servant of the People party, Davyd Arakhamia, announced this week that the Ukrainian parliament will lose one of its ministers but individual in question was not publicly named.

However, Kyiv Post sources in the party say that the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzeit is set to resign.

He has been working in this position since March 2020 and is also a famous Ukrainian fencer.

In November 2022, he was appointed president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

According to Kyiv Post sources, it is understood that he plans to remain the president of the National Olympic Committee.

It is currently unknown who will take over the ministerial position as such transitions are not always conducted quickly – for example, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has been headed by an acting minister for three months.
