The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained an FSB agent who was coordinating Russian air attacks in Kharkiv.

According to the SBU press service, a local unemployed woman was directing enemy fire. She came to the attention of Russian intelligence when she called on social media for the creation of so-called “buffer zones” in Ukraine.

After being recruited via Telegram, she was given a list of geolocations that “needed to be checked and described in detail.” The women found out that the coordinates were used to locate units of the Defense Forces and began to reconnoiter their number and technical equipment.

SBU officers exposed the woman immediately after her recruitment, which allowed them to document her every step and detain her at her place of residence. At the same time, the Ukrainian special service took measures to secure the locations of Ukrainian troops.

“During the search, computer equipment and a phone with evidence of work for the FSB were seized from the detainee. In addition, a textual analysis initiated by the SBU confirmed the facts of the suspect’s subversive activities when she publicly disseminated Kremlin narratives,” the SBU press service said in a statement on Tuesday, June 10.

Based on the evidence gathered, SBU investigators notified her of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: high treason committed under martial law, encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and justification of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
