Shark-M performance characteristics:
- Flight range: up to 420 kilometers (261 miles)
- Air time: more than 7 hours
- Communication range: up to 180 kilometers (112 miles)
- Additional features: protected control system; resistant to electronic warfare and spoofing
These capabilities will allow Ukrainian forces to conduct reconnaissance deep behind enemy lines and identify or disable air defense systems, multiple-launch rocket systems, radars, electronic warfare assets, supply depots, and logistics hubs.
Ukraine’s Special Forces command earlier published images of the Shark-M, underscoring its role in striking high-priority Russian positions far from the front lines.
The arrival of the Shark-M comes as Ukraine intensifies strikes against Russian air defenses. In just four days, Ukrainian forces reportedly destroyed 17 major systems in Crimea and the south, from S-300s to Pantsir units, underscoring how drones like the Shark are reshaping the battlefield.
