A Russian strike on a village in the Kharkiv region killed three people late Thursday, the regional military administration chief said.
“Around 09:30 pm (1830 GMT), Russians attacked the village of Khotymlia with UAV,” Oleg Synegubov said on Telegram.

He said two men and one woman had been killed, and that two other people had been wounded. At least some were road repair service workers, he added.
Earlier Thursday, a Russian rocket attack killed two people from the Danish Refugee Council who were clearing mines in an area of Ukraine’s northern Chernihiv region previously occupied by Moscow’s forces, local authorities said.
Russia’s defense ministry denied the victims were humanitarian workers, saying they had hit a launch point for long-range drones.
Both Kharkiv and Chernihiv were still under active air alerts early Friday morning, along with Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy, among other regions.
The fighting has continued to rage despite a renewed push by European leaders to pressure Russian dictator Vladimir Putin into pursuing a ceasefire or peace accord.
More than two dozen countries have pledged to join a “reassurance” force to deploy in Ukraine after any eventual peace deal, aiming to deter Moscow from again attacking its neighbour, leaders announced Thursday.
However, there is growing concern that Putin has no interest in ending the conflict, with alarm intensifying after a visit to Beijing this week during which he vowed Russia would fight on in Ukraine if a peace deal cannot be reached.
