A Russian ballistic missile slammed into the city of Dnipro on Monday, killing four people and injuring at least 22 in one of the deadliest attacks on the region in recent weeks.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, the strike hit an auto-repair shop and nearby industrial buildings, sparking fires that engulfed a garage unit and the roof of a five-story apartment building.

Rescuers said they also managed to pull four survivors from the rubble.
Emergency crews later extinguished all the fires as search operations continued. Several of the injured remain in serious condition in local hospitals.
Regional officials said the attack was carried out with a ballistic missile, and photos from the scene show heavy destruction and widespread debris. Ukraine’s Air Force had warned of a ballistic threat shortly before the strike.
Last week, on Nov. 25, a separate Russian attack injured a young woman and a child on a playground in Dnipro. Local authorities said a Russian drone hit a residential area, damaging a four-story building and a nearby power line.
