Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Wednesday that Warsaw would send a military plane to Oman to evacuate a number of its citizens.
The Gulf states – Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia – have suffered the brunt of Iran’s retaliatory attacks since the US and Israel launched air strikes against the country on Saturday.

“I have decided to use aircraft at the disposal of the Armed Forces to support the evacuation of Poles from the Middle East,” Tusk said on X.
Also on Wednesday, Tusk said that a medical priority plane will land in Oman “in the coming dozen or so hours,” according to TVP World.
“Among those awaiting transport is a seriously ill Polish woman. The plane will fly for the sick but as far as possible we will evacuate everyone in need,” he added.
The Polish embassy had previously ruled out using military aircraft to evacuate its citizens, according to Notes From Poland – instead launching a helpline for its citizens in the region.
Tusk also said that Poland was working with airlines and travel agencies to bring home tourists stranded across the Middle East, as per TVP World.
