Russia launched a drone attack on western Ukraine on Tuesday, April 1, targeting multiple regions and damaging infrastructure, regional officials said.

Strikes and drone activity were reported in Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions, with emergency services deployed to assess the damage.

Strikes reported across western regions

Lviv regional governor Maksym Kozytskyi said air defenses were engaged during the attack and debris from downed drones was found across the region.

No casualties or damage were reported in Lviv region, he said, urging residents to avoid approaching drone fragments due to the risk of explosion.

In Ternopil region, a drone strike hit an agricultural facility in Chortkiv district, sparking a fire, regional officials said. No injuries were reported.

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, drones targeted critical infrastructure, though no casualties were reported, according to regional governor Svitlana Onyshchuk.

In Kolomyia district, around 11,000 consumers were temporarily left without electricity, with repair crews working to restore power.

Journalist Vitalii Hlahola also reported, that Zakarpattia region also came under attack, with strikes reported in Khust and Uzhhorod districts, regional officials said.

One person was injured but did not require hospitalization.

A separate strike hit critical infrastructure in the town of Perechyn, causing a local power outage, according to local authorities.
