Ukraine Strikes Oil Facility and Drone Sites in Crimea

Ukrainian forces struck a Chornomornaftogaz facility and a ground relay station for attack drones in Crimea early on July 26, alongside logistical targets in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

The military stated that the operations aimed to degrade Russian military and economic capabilities.

In Crimea, the strikes hit a Chornomornaftogaz site near Vnukove. The General Staff noted that these state-owned facilities are utilized by Russian authorities to extract, store, and transport fuel to supply military operations on the peninsula.

Another strike targeted a ground relay station near Chornomorske. According to the military, the station is used to extend the operational range and maintain control of Geran and Gerbera attack drones deployed against Ukraine.

In the eastern Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces struck a road bridge near Vyselky utilized for military logistics. Operations in the Luhansk region targeted a drone storage facility near Chervonopopivka and a personnel concentration area in Purdivka.

Additionally, the General Staff confirmed that a previous strike on July 25 hit an oil refinery in Tyumen, located in Russia’s Tyumen region.

Overnight blackouts in Crimea

The confirmed military strikes align with reports of widespread explosions across the Crimean peninsula early Sunday morning.

Local monitoring channels reported drone attacks on a radar station situated on Tepe-Oba mountain and a local electrical substation in Feodosia, which caused blackouts in the city.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 133 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory, the Black Sea, and Crimea between 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 8:00 a.m. Sunday local time.
