Zelensky announced his arrival in a Telegram post, saying he would also hold talks with members of Trump’s team and others who could help strengthen Ukraine’s defense.

The Ukrainian president said discussions would focus on anti-ballistic capabilities and strategic cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
“Peace must come closer,” he added
During their most recent meeting in Turkey earlier this month, Trump praised Zelensky for doing “an amazing job” and signaled support for allowing Ukraine to produce Patriot air-defense missiles. Zelensky was also expected to discuss urgent Patriot support and efforts to finalize a US-Ukraine drone agreement during his Washington visit.
While in Washington, Zelensky will attend a memorial service for the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a prominent supporter of Ukraine who advocated stronger sanctions against Russia and continued US assistance to Kyiv. Netanyahu is also expected to attend.
Zelensky Keeps Silent on Fedorov’s Possible Reappointment
