As an Australian, I can tell you that Danby is of peripheral interest in Ukrainian issues, mainly a spokesperson for the strong Jewish lobby. As a member of Sky TV stable of journalists on Fox he mixes with the most ardent Trump supporters and anti-Ukrainian commentators and journalists in Australia. There is no media outlet like it in Australia.

You have certainly selected foolishly

This idiot knows nothing about Australians. He lives in a stupid politely bubble. Australians have known about Ukraine for as long as Australia has been here. We in Australia have been strong supporters, admirers and friends of Ukraine for longer than the russian obsession to forcedly adopt Ukraine as theirs. Australian people are fiercely with you!!!! From Australia to Ukraine with love. SLAVA UKRAINE!!!!!!

Great interview. A telling insight was Mr Danby's observation that border control is a bipartisan political
necessity as it lowered divisiveness here in Australia. We are a nation of immigrants.

@alex murphy, 2024 is a big election year for a number of democracies:

A revealing AP NEWS article today warns russia's propaganda engine is trying to heighten bad false news and incendiary comments aimed at sowing discord over border issues may democracies face.

Its an ironic truth that as as part of his decades long hybrid war against democracies, putin has fomented coups, civil wars and social unrest in poorer nations and then with cooperation from putin aligned nations, channeled these refugees to strained allied borders.

Both tools are leveraged to raise social discord prior to elections, the intent being to drive voters towards the candidate putins regime supports with funding and debasing campaigns against more democratically friendly opponents. This has been sadly been successful in countries like Slovakia, Hungary, Turkey and the USA...which came very close on Jan. 6, 2020 to almost losing its democracy to wannabe dictator putinrump.
