War in Ukraine

PUBLIC OPINION: Do you support deploying European troops to Ukraine?

French President Macron's statement that under certain conditions French troops could be sent to Ukraine has sparked controversy. Do you support the idea of European troops being deployed to Ukraine?

French President Emmanuel Macron drew a line in the sand, refusing to say that he would never send French troops to Ukraine, as Russia continues its full-scale invasion. Some say Macron went too far. Others applauded the French leader.

Kyiv Post asked people on the streets of Paris and London whether or not they supported sending European troops to defend Ukraine. Most of the people Kyiv Post spoke to were not quite ready to commit European troops to Ukraine under the current circumstances. Some said that it should've already been done.

European troops will use the main equipment better, they are more familiar with it and trained. To have a long-lasting unfeared (New Cold War) piece, you will have to fight for it, to ensure that a future generation doesn't miscalculate towards an extinction war.

Yes, I support European Troops getting engaged in Ukraine. It is high time that a coalition of the willing countries ( Germany excluded ) France, UK, Baltic States, Nordic States ..united against Aggression from Russia. Or Russia will be soon at your doorstep. You can only have peace by preparing for war. Germany is a stumbling block to European stability ...

Ukraine is fighting Europe's war. Had NATO, and the US in particular, exhibited some courage at the start of Putin's war the situation for Ukraine would be so much better. Without European assistance on the ground Ukraine's future is bleak. President Macron is correct. Europe's democracies must send troops to assist Ukraine or forever bow their heads in shame.

Better type faster paid MRGA trolls.

You are being overrun even here by volunteer Ukraine supporters who want their nations to physically join in Ukraine's defense.

Leadership from France, Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia have already publicly warmed to the thought. I'm working on my Canadian leadership. Others are working on theirs. Even the transitionally minded folks in the USA have done their math, and now see there's actually money to be made in doing something moral this time. Bye, bye Mr. Johnson. Another $60 billion in the USA's better weapons heading to Ukraine shortly. Who would have thought?

What can you say to stop this growing movement of putin regime hate MRGA trolls? Would another hollow Nuclear threat work.....? Maybe digging the hole you need to climb out of someday deeper.....? What to do....what to do? What a russian conundrum.

Can you feel the noose tightening, 'convicted war criminal' putler.....can you feel the days draining from your veins?

HEY EUROPE, STEP UP YOUR SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE
This comment contains spoilers. Click here if you want to read.

Europe's combined nominal annual gross domestic product is some 72% of the United States, yet to date, have only contributed just some 25% of the total military aid contributed to date to Ukraine from the United States. Europe needs to step up their aid to Ukraine. That being said, I fully support we Americans to furnishing Ukraine with the military might necessary to quickly destroy the Russian troops as quickly as possible. That would include furnishing Ukraine with the some 150 mothballed F15, F16, and A10 jets sitting idle at Davis-Monathan Air Force Base outside of Tucson, Arizona. Furnish Ukraine with the long range ATACMS and HIMARS missile that leaves no sanctuary for Russian troops occupying any square centimeter of sovereign Ukrainian soil.
But the U
nited States has a southern border security problem. We Republicans have every right to demand of Joe BRIBEn fot first secure the southern border before any further military aid is bestowed upon Ukraine. 27 Republicans in the US Senate voted for the recent foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. There is a majority of Republicans in the House who are for furnishing Ukraine with the current planned $61 billion. All Joe BBRIBEn has to do is secure the southern border.
It cannot be more simpler than that.

Russia is a terrorist state

100% yes. This should have been done 2 years ago. Russian imperialism needs to be stopped, destroyed and demolished now and forever. When do the world understand that Russian way of life means war, torture and death? A country full of people that are okay with the genocide Ukraine people. And the dickhead putin won’t stop since his imperialistic nature + being a old white ugly guy only allows him to claim more of European land since his time is running. So send everything you have NATO. Stop this terror.

No! We have what must now be the most battle hardened army in the world All the west needs do is deliver it the weapons it needs to fight the Russian hordes; in particular, 155mm artillery shells to supress Russian advances. Additionally, more anti air missiles to protect our cities and in particular Patriot missiles.

Or in other words, don't send your kids to fight in Ukraine or somewhere else and then when the ruzzians arrive, your young kids will be abducted, taken away from you to ruzzia and have their names changed so you cannot ever find them again, as these pigs did in Ukraine. I'd rather have my kids armed and in the fight.

To those who criticised sending "their own kids" to Ukraine, I'd like to remember that the Ukrainians are doing precisely that for ten years now; and husbands, and brothers and Fathers. They never had a choice. And I'd rather have my kids fighting the ruzzians in the Army than condemn my own son and daughter to eternal horror, slavery and arbitrary detention at the ruzzian's hands. Once unarmed they will be aniquilated.

@Edmilson Almendra, I doubt any NATO troops would need to get involved in the fight on the ground. All that Ukraine needs is complete air superiority, and Russian assets and logistics on the ground in Ukraine destroyed. The Russians would then flee if they had any sense or just be destroyed by Ukraine. Either way, it's really only air superiority, which NATO could easily provide, that Ukraine needs to liberate their land.

I am a citizen of France and GB and I fully applaud the idea of my president to commit EU troops in combatting Russian aggression. The other country (GB) to which I swear allegiance has done already more than most European countries to support the Ukraine; the British people will continue to support the Ukraine by sending ground troups.
