Polish media reported that an unknown male broke into an apartment in the Polish city of Legnica and stabbed two Ukrainian women and a teenage girl.
The man was apparently disturbed by a 37-year-old Ukrainian woman, whom he attacked and killed with a knife. The woman’s 14-year-old daughter, woken by her screams was also attacked and stabbed, as was another woman who was in the apartment.
The 14-year-old victim was admitted to hospital with stab wounds to her chest and is reported to be in a serious condition. The other injured Ukrainian woman received injuries to her hands while defending herself from the attacker.
It is further reported that the police arrested the attacker, who was covered in blood and in possession of a bloody knife, near the scene of the crime. The man is a known criminal who was previously convicted of crimes against property.
Neither the Ukrainian citizens nor the arrested man have been identified as yet.
