Moscow sources report a massive overnight drone attack on a cross-border Russian electronics factory supplying chips, printed circuit boards, transistors, and diodes, for Pantsir air defense missiles and Iskander short range ballistic missiles, but Kyiv has not acknowledged any involvement.
In the early hours of Monday, April 28, the governor of Russia’s Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported a massive drone attack on the area. Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed that 102 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Bryansk region alone.

“Unfortunately, a civilian was killed, and another resident was injured. She was promptly taken to the hospital, where she received all necessary medical assistance,” Bogomaz wrote on Telegram.
Bryansk region is located in western Russia, directly bordering Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Sumy regions, and is often used as a rear echelon base for Russian military operations.
According to local residents, between 10 and 15 explosions were heard around 2 a.m. in the district of Bryansk. A residential building caught fire on Moskovskaya Street, while several cars were set ablaze in a parking lot on Chervonoarmeyskaya Street. Meanwhile, the VchK-OGPU Telegram channel, citing eyewitnesses, reported a major fire near the Kremniy EL factory on the same street.
As of the time of publication, Ukraine had not officially commented on any involvement in the attack.

The Kremniy EL plant in Bryansk is one of Russia’s largest microelectronics manufacturers, producing integrated circuits, diodes, transistors, and other components. The facility supplies parts for the Pantsir air defense systems and Iskander missile systems.
The plant has previously been targeted multiple times by Ukrainian drones. For instance, on January 24, six drones struck the facility — no casualties were reported at the time, but the attack caused damage to production facilities and warehouses, temporarily halting operations.
Later, Russia’s Ministry of Defense said that a total of 115 Ukrainian drones had been shot down overnight: 102 over Bryansk region, 9 over occupied Crimea, 2 over Kursk region, 1 over Belgorod region, and 1 over the Black Sea.
