At the GRUs request, he allegedly gathered information about security at Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport in southeastern Poland. The airport is used for official international travel by Ukrainian leaders.

Officials say this information was meant to support preparations for a possible attack on President Zelensky.

The investigation was launched after Ukrainian law enforcement shared intelligence with Polish authorities. Polish security services worked closely with Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and Prosecutor General’s Office.
