As of June 1, Russia has lost 988,560 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,230 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The figures are approximate estimations and include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries.

Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far
The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:
- 22,656 armored fighting vehicles (including four over the past day)
- 50,325 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 127 over the past day)
- 28,527 artillery systems (including 52 over the past day)
- 38,366 drones (including 151 over the past day)
- 10,872 tanks (including five over the past day)
- 1,401 multiple launch rocket systems (including one over the past day)
- 1,173 anti-aircraft systems
- 372 airplanes
- 336 helicopters
- 28 ships and boats
- one submarine
The General Staff said it recorded 166 clashes across the front on Sunday, June 1.
