Overnight, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with drones, striking in particular the city of Kharkiv. A civilian facility in the city’s Kyivskyi district was hit, injuring a 64-year-old man.

“The enemy carried out at least seven strikes on the city. Information on casualties and the consequences is still being clarified,” said the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, who also confirmed the hit on the enterprise.

The mayor of Kharkiv reported that an uninhabited residential building in the Kyivskyi district was damaged, and a fire broke out. Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that the city was targeted overnight by seven Shahed-type kamikaze drones, all of which struck the Kyivskyi district.

Russian forces also shelled Zaporizhzhia and surrounding areas, damaging private homes. At least five men were injured in the city itself as well as in the Vasylivka and Polohy districts, according to Zaporizhzhia Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov. One of the injured has been hospitalized.

On the evening of June 24, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia during an air raid alert. Prior to the blasts, Ukraine’s Air Force had reported the approach of a high-speed aerial target heading toward the city.

“Nine private houses were damaged by missile strikes in Zaporizhzhia. Rescue teams, utility workers, emergency services, social support agencies, and charities are working to swiftly eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack,” said Fedorov.

Ukrainian long-range drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine struck the “Temp” state fuel reserve in the Yaroslavl region – over 700 kilometers from the border – and the “Azot” chemical plant in the Tula region. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operations, labeling them effective “long-range sanctions.” The strikes ignited large-scale fires at both facilities, degrading Russia’s supply of military fuel and explosives precursors.

In total, over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out 469 strikes on 13 settlements across Zaporizhzhia region.
