Ukraine’s directorate of military intelligence (HUR) has gained full access to the internal servers and documentation of the Russian-installed occupation authorities in Crimea, following a successful cyber operation.
A HUR source told Kyiv Post on Friday afternoon that the large-scale cyberattack lasted several days. It began with a powerful DDoS attack that paralyzed key information systems and network infrastructure across the peninsula.

While the occupation authorities scrambled to identify the cause of the collapse, HUR cyber specialists quietly infiltrated internal portals belonging to the top leadership of the so-called “Russian Republic of Crimea.”
As a result, the Ukrainian team accessed and extracted data from several critical digital systems, including the electronic document management system “DIALOG,” the system “SЕD,” the “Delo” accounting software, “1C:Document Management,” “Directum,” and “Atlas.”
Over the course of two days, the cyber unit downloaded approximately 100 terabytes of files belonging to the occupying government. Among them are documents marked “secret,” which included sensitive data on military infrastructure and logistics routes used to supply Russian forces stationed in Crimea.
“So much data has been extracted that we’ll soon learn a lot of explosive details about the activities and crimes of the Russian occupiers in Ukrainian Crimea. Special ‘thanks’ for enabling the operation go to Anton Lyaskovsky, Deputy Minister of Health of the occupation government in Crimea,” a military intelligence source told Kyiv Post on condition of anonymity.

After copying the valuable information, HUR cyber specialists destroyed all data stored on the servers of regional and district government institutions, ministries, and agencies of the occupation authorities in the illegally annexed territory.
The Crimean Peninsula has been under Russian occupation since 2014, following an internationally condemned annexation. Over the years, Russia has transformed Crimea into a heavily militarized zone, using it as a key logistical and operational base for its military presence in the Black Sea region and ongoing war against Ukraine.
The Ministry of Internal Policy, Information, and Communications of Crimea stated that “technical specialists are carrying out all necessary restoration measures. However, some services may remain unavailable to subscribers.”
