Districts across Kyiv were under a “massive” attack early Friday morning local time, the capital’s mayor said, confirming on-the-ground reports and social media clips of apartment buildings ablaze.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko called the latest strike a “massive enemy attack,” saying air defense forces were in operation. At least 11 people were wounded, five of whom were hospitalized, including a pregnant woman and a man in “extremely serious condition,” Klitschko wrote on Telegram.

About three weeks ago, Russian forces launched a combined drone and missile attack strike on Kyiv, with residential buildings hit in several districts. Klitschko reported at the time that two people were killed and five injured, including a two-year-old child.
