Russia has launched a massive drone and missile strike on Ukraine overnight on Saturday, which has persisted for close to 10 hours at the time of publication.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said the attack struck multiple districts in the capital, killing at least one and injuring 15, leaving eight hospitalized as of Saturday morning. He added that the western part of the capital was without electricity following the strike, and that water pressure on the right bank of Kyiv was reduced.

The Kyiv City Military Administration wrote at 7:54 a.m. that the death toll rose to two.

Kyiv Post correspondents reported intermittent blasts through the night near central Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district, a mix of air-defense intercepts and drone explosions.
