President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the Armenian capital of Yerevan on Sunday, May 3, to participate in the European Political Community (EPC) summit scheduled for May 4.
According to the Office of the President and Armenpress agency, the head of state intends to focus on strengthening Ukrainian security and coordinating efforts with international allies.

The president’s spokesperson, Serhiy Nykyforov, confirmed that a series of bilateral meetings is scheduled for today, prior to the start of the formal summit. Zelensky is expected to meet with the prime ministers of Norway, Finland, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic.
This includes a highly anticipated first personal meeting with the newly appointed Czech Prime Minister, Andrej Babis. The formal summit activities and further multilateral discussions are set to continue through tomorrow.
This diplomatic mission follows a phone conversation on Saturday between Zelensky and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, during which they discussed building stronger bilateral ties and potentially meeting in person in the near future.
Fico expressed support for Ukraine’s EU membership and offered to share Slovakia’s accession experience. Zelensky’s current visit to Armenia marks another significant step in his regional outreach, following a recent milestone trip to Baku where Ukraine signed six defense-industrial agreements with Azerbaijan.
