Kharkiv region under repeated attack

Kharkiv region, which borders Russia, has faced persistent missile, drone and glide bomb attacks throughout Moscow’s full-scale invasion.

The attacks occurred as President Volodymyr Zelensky was returning to Kyiv after talks in London with the leaders of Britain, France and Germany on possible next steps toward ending Russia’s four-year-old full-scale war.

Targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure is prohibited under international humanitarian law. Ukrainian authorities are documenting Russian strikes on civilian sites as potential war crimes for future prosecution.
