In a statement posted to X, Zelensky thanked Estonia for hosting the high-level gathering and described the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) framework as “very practical.”

The first priority, he said, is to make diplomacy more active, adding that regional leaders engaged in deep discussions on how to achieve that goal.
The second priority focuses on securing immediate military aid. Specifically, the summit worked to provide Ukraine with vital air defense capabilities and strengthen defense cooperation in ways that would make Europe stronger as a whole.
Zelensky stated that the third priority centers on Ukraine’s path toward European Union membership, noting that highly anticipated EU meetings are expected to take place soon.
“It’s time to open all clusters. Everything is ready, and there is no reason to delay,” Zelensky wrote, referencing the negotiating chapters required for EU accession.
The Ukrainian president also thanked partners for their readiness to continue tightening sanctions against Russia.
“This is important. Russia must end its war, and only pressure can help achieve this,” he said.
The NB8 format includes the Nordic and Baltic states: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden.
