ussia’s massive overnight attack on Kyiv destroyed the warehouse of electronics retailer Moyo and tore through a cluster of businesses across the capital in the early hours of July 2, as strike drones and ballistic missiles killed at least 25 people.
The strike wiped out commercial stock and infrastructure across at least five companies in a single night – from IT distribution and car dealerships to retail and hotels – with residential high-rises also partially collapsing under the barrage, adding to the death toll.

Moyo, one of Ukraine’s largest electronics retail chains, lost its warehouse entirely in the attack. The company confirmed in a Telegram post that the strike completely destroyed the facility, with emergency services working at the site through the night and into the morning.
No one was killed, the company said. Moyo added that it can still accept new orders for goods listed on its website, while customers with earlier orders were asked for patience – the retailer pledged to ship them as soon as possible or issue refunds.

“We lost the warehouse. But we did not lose the team,” the statement reads, adding that the company intends to restore operations step by step alongside its staff and partners and rebuild “everything the enemy destroyed.”
ERC prepares compensation claims targeting frozen Russian assets
The office-warehouse complex of ERC, a major IT equipment distributor, sustained a direct ballistic missile hit that caused significant damage to the group’s property and inventory, the company’s press service wrote on its website. No employees were killed, though several were wounded.
ERC, Ukraine’s largest technology distributor, is owned by Serhiy Artiukh, Andriy Dehoda, and Leonid Stolnykov and employed 1,125 people as of 2024. The group posted revenue of Hr.24.3 billion ($552 million) in 2024, while its first-half 2025 revenue slipped 7% year-on-year to Hr.10.4 billion ($236 million), according to Forbes Ukraine.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the distributor has bet on energy storage as its key growth line – portable power stations, batteries, and inverters, along with all-in-one PowerWall solutions and power containers planned ahead of winter – alongside gas, diesel, gasoline, and hybrid generators. The company earlier built its market position through distribution contracts with China’s Sapphire Technology, Taiwan’s Team Group, and US audio maker Bose Corporation.
ERC’s damaged property and inventory were insured, and the company is now assessing losses and the prospects for insurance payouts. It is also preparing an evidence package for damage claims against Russia, including in international jurisdictions and countries holding frozen Russian assets.
The group intends to keep operating: its owners, top management, and staff are either on site or ready to work remotely, ERC wrote.
Car dealership, hotel, and flagship tile store hit across the capital
The Porsche Center Kyiv Airport dealership, part of Winner Group, was also damaged in the strike, the company said on its Facebook page. Employees were injured, but all survived and are receiving medical care. The dealership has temporarily suspended operations while the team clears the damage.
In central Kyiv, the roof of the CityHotel Residence was damaged. The hotel, formerly known as Saint Petersburg, occupies a historic building whose restoration was completed by developer Intergal-Bud before the full-scale invasion.
Agromat’s flagship store on Bulakhovskoho Street was also struck, the retailer said on Facebook. The company operates a national chain of tile, plumbing, and flooring stores.
No one was injured, but the store’s second floor was damaged. Security guards quickly extinguished a fire on the building’s roof, the company wrote.
Agromat is assessing the losses and working to restore the second floor’s operations, while the first floor, warehouses, and other divisions of the company continue operating as normal.
