US veteran William Attig in a Kyiv Post interview describes the work of a new American veterans support group working to assist war veterans in Ukraine. He is a an American veteran who served in Iraq in 2006-2009 and earned the rank of sergeant in the United States Army. After returning from the service, William and his brothers faced the problem of unemployment and is active in the American veteran community.

As Ukraine rebuilds and improves its infrastructure it needs to adopt the USA's American's With Disability Act (ADA) to address physical accessibility needs and provisions of integration of all soldiers and citizens who are or become disabled.
