The Sex-Trafficking of Ukraine’s Girls

As millions of Ukrainian women and children fled Russia's full-scale invasion, packs of sex traffickers descended on the besieged nation's borders to "grab" women and children.

Famed Canadian journalist Viktor Malarek, author of The Nataschas, profiled the Eastern bloc's sex trade black market, describing how unsuspecting young girls are lured by the promise of legitimate employment before being stripped of their identities and sold as sex slaves under threat of torture and death, in a call to action that also reveals corruption within the groups that would help victims.
In a powerful interview, Malarek describes the horrors - the "den of hell" - in which some of Ukraine's women have been entangled.

Hunt the traffickers and shoot them! If a man will not help his neighbors daughter he is not worthy to live!
Nothing changes. I was reporting on the 1993 'Free and Fair Elections' (Ha! They weren't!) in Cambodia in 1992-1993 when the UN deployed their largest operation yet (UNTAC) and it was exactly the same way then. The absolute worst offenders were the 'CivPol' (UN Civilian Police Force), made up of UN 'Peacekeepers' from a wide variety of countries. If you walked into ANY entertainment venue--not just brothels but regular bars, pubs, pool-halls--you would always find it full of girls aged 12-18 years old with huge packs of disgustingly old UN CivPol officers, openly groping these poor girls who they would buy for just a couple of dollars. Many soldiers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia as well as plenty from European countries. In my many arguments with them, it was apparent that they really did not think they were doing anything wrong and had convinced themselves that they were actually HELPING these girls! I brought this up with the UN Military Police and even the head UN Spokesperson, Eric Falt, and every last one of them were in denial about it and refused to even begin an investigation--presumably because they also frequented these establishments. Absolutely heartbreaking--the UN really is completely impotent and useless.
Disgusting. These girls need help. Now! (Thanks for sharing this)
