Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, has warned that the possible use of tactical nuclear weapons by Russia in the war against Ukraine could pose a threat to all countries in the Black Sea region.

He made this statement in an interview with the British TV channel ITV News.

“It is possible Russia will use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. They will try to stop our offensive activity and to destroy our state,” Skibitskyi said.

“The explosion of tactical nuclear weapons will have an impact not only on Ukraine but also on the entire Black Sea region,” he added, emphasizing that the consequences of the use of nuclear weapons could have an impact, in particular, on Poland, Turkey, and Bulgaria.

Lately, On Sep. 21, Putin announced a partial mobilization, and threatened to use nuclear weapons to protect the “territorial integrity of Russia.” At the same time, he announced pseudo referendums in the occupied Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk Regions. They began today.

“It is not a bluff,” Putin threatened, “should the Armed Forces of Ukraine enter the Russian territory, all means of destruction, including nuclear ones, will be used in the event of a threat to the territorial integrity of Russia.”
