At the WTKA Germany kickboxing championship that wound up on May 7, 2023 in Arnsberg, Germany, Vitaliy Voytov from Odesa won the gold medal for the Ukrainian national team in the 67 kg category.

Voytov is a student at the Odesa National Polytechnic Institute and is coached by Sargis Khachatryan at the local fighting club STAFF. He dedicated his victory to the brave defenders of Ukraine.

On May 6 in Rome, Andriy Tyshchenko, a professional from Odessa MMA Team, won the European Fight League's Cage Warriors tournament by knocking out Indonesia's Yoga Prabowo in the first round. Tyshchenko had been prepared for the fight by Ruslan Hasanov from Odesa and Aldric Cassata from France.

Another athlete from Odesa, Ihor Tsurkan, 18, won a bronze medal in the 81 kg category at the Judo Junior European Cup stage in Poznan, Poland – his second European Cup bronze this year.

Other athletes from the city and region of Odesa have also won three medals at European judo championships and six at European bodybuilding championships. Two silver medals were contributed to Ukraine's trophy record by Maksym Kulia (81 kg) at the European Deaf Judo Championships. A bronze was won by Ivan Kostenko (
60 kg).

n Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain, four gold medals were won by Odesa bodybuilders Yevheniy Moskovtsev, Iryna Hrabovska, Hanna Tunik and Olha Bolduseva, and two bronze medals by Olha Odina and Yevhen Ponomariov.

Also in Spain, athletes from the Odesa Region Karate Federation won five medals at the Karate Youth League tournament: Davyd Yanovsky (67 kg) and Daria Yervachova (61 kg) won gold medals; Polina Marchenko (48 kg, junior category) and Maksym Vechkanov (52 kg, cadet category) won the silver; and Hanna Rusan (61 k, cadet category) became a bronze medalist.
