Russian forces first launched a ballistic missile strike on the hometown of Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, April 4, with initial reports of 18 people killed, including nine children.
In a follow-up strike, the Russians attacked the city again with drones, killing another woman and wounding seven others. Serhii Lysak, the head of the region’s Military Administration, said that the woman had burned to death in a house that had been hit by a Shahed drone.
The man’s death in the hospital on Sunday brought the death toll to 20.
Pastor Mark Burns, a spiritual advisor to US President Donald Trump, visited the strike site over the weekend.
“A tragic loss of innocent lives. The world must condemn this brutality and stand with Ukraine against such terror. Faith is a choice, not a feeling!” he wrote on social media.
