As of June 3, Russia has lost 990,800 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,100 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The figures are approximate estimations and include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries.

Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far
The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:
- 22,671 armored fighting vehicles (including eight over the past day)
- 50,607 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 145 over the past day)
- 28,623 artillery systems (including 48 over the past day)
- 38,748 drones (including 126 over the past day)
- 10,881 tanks (including seven over the past day)
- 1,402 multiple launch rocket systems (including one over the past day)
- 1,173 anti-aircraft systems (including one over the past day)
- 413 airplanes (including 41 over the past days, following the “Spider Web” special operation)
- 336 helicopters
- 28 ships and boats
- one submarine
The General Staff said it recorded 142 clashes across the front on Tuesday, June 3.
