As of June 4, Russia has lost 991,820 troops after launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 – including 1,020 troops over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 

The figures are approximate estimations and include all troops who are put out of action for some time due to deaths or injuries. 

Russian equipment losses in Ukraine so far

The General Staff, in its daily update, also listed Russia’s total recorded equipment losses as follows:

  • 22,678 armored fighting vehicles (including seven over the past day)
  • 50,730 vehicles and fuel tanks (including 123 over the past day)
  • 28,711 artillery systems (including 88 over the past day)
  • 38,924 drones (including 176 over the past day)
  • 10,884 tanks (including three over the past day)
  • 1,402 multiple launch rocket systems (including one over the past day)
  • 1,173 anti-aircraft systems (including one over the past day)
  • 413 airplanes 
  • 336 helicopters
  • 28 ships and boats
  • one submarine

The General Staff said it recorded 178 clashes across the front on Tuesday, June 3.
