A combined Russian strike on Tuesday afternoon killed two people in eastern Ukraine and one in the northern province of Sumy, local authorities said, after US President Donald Trump gave Moscow 50 days to reach a peace deal with Ukraine.
“Two dead and two injured: law enforcement officers recorded the consequences of another enemy attack in the Kupiansk district,” Kharkiv’s regional prosecutor’s office said on social media, adding that the victims were 67 and 69 years old.

Another civilian was killed in the Sumy region, along the northern border with Russia.
“The enemy fired artillery at the outskirts of the Velykopysarivska community. Unfortunately, a 50-year-old local resident was killed,” said Sumy regional authorities.
Elsewhere on the front line, Russian forces claimed two more villages in the Donetsk region, increasing the pace of their advance.
A Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s western city of Voronezh wounded 27 people, local officials said Tuesday.
Trump on Monday said he had struck a deal with NATO to supply Kyiv with American air-defense systems and other weapons to Ukraine and threatened Russia with tariffs and sanctions, as he grows frustrated with Russian leader Vladimir Putin for rejecting a ceasefire and instead intensifying attacks.
A fire broke out at a civilian enterprise, and there are casualties, the mayor of the city of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported on Telegram.

“The night attack by the Shaheds on the city lasted 14 minutes. During this time, the enemy struck the Kyiv District of Kharkiv 16 times,” he wrote.
According to preliminary information, several enemy drones were shot down by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Earlier, Terekhov reported that Russian forces had attacked a civilian business in Kharkiv, causing a fire at the site of the strikes.
The Head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that at least 17 explosions were heard in Kharkiv within 20 minutes. Most of the strikes were on a civilian enterprise in the Kyiv District.
“The enemy initially used a Geran-2 UAV (drones). The shelling caused a fire,” he wrote.
No casualties were reported at that location.
He added: “At the moment, three people are reported to have been injured as a result of the enemy attack on Kharkiv. They are being provided with medical assistance.”
