Russian forces attacked Odesa region with strike drones overnight, with one UAV hitting a high-rise apartment building, according to Regional Military Administration (OVA) head Oleh Kiper.

“At night, the enemy once again attacked the civilian population of Odesa region with strike drones. One drone hit an apartment building between the 18th and 19th floors without detonating,” Kiper said on Telegram.

The strike damaged the building’s facade and windows, as well as several parked cars. Emergency services evacuated 58 residents, including eight children.

No injuries have been reported so far, though information is still being clarified. All relevant services remain at the scene, conducting inspections and clearing the aftermath.

Russian drones also targeted the Dnipropetrovsk region, striking Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad.

 

In Pavlohrad, eight private houses and four cars were damaged, Dnipropetrovsk OVA head Oleksandr Ganzhya said.

Drones also hit the Vasylkivska community in the Synelnyky district, where an 81-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized in moderate condition. Fires broke out, damaging an office building and a gas pipeline.

In Kryvyi Rih, a one-story private house was partially destroyed and caught fire, which has since been extinguished. A 70-year-old woman was injured and received medical assistance.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, from 6 p.m. on Jan. 21 through the morning of Jan. 22, Russia launched 94 attack drones, including Shahed and Gerbera types, about 55 of them Shaheds.
