Overnight Russian drone attacks on Odesa and Kharkiv killed at least three people and wounded several others, Ukrainian officials said early Monday.
Iranian-made drones struck the southern port city of Odesa, igniting fires and damaging apartment buildings and a gas pipeline, according to Sergiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration.

“A 35-year-old man died as a result of the nighttime attack. Two people were also wounded, including a 19-year-old girl,” Lysak said in a Telegram update.
Regional governor Oleg Kiper described Odesa as “massively attacked” and confirmed the fires, but did not provide immediate information on the full toll.
In Kharkiv, emergency services said they recovered the bodies of a woman and a 10-year-old boy following another drone strike. Three more people were wounded, the agency added.
In Novhorod-Siversky, Chernigiv region, authorities said a 71-year-old man was killed in his bed by Russian drones.
The Ukrainian air force said Russia launched 11 ballistic missiles and 149 drones, including Iranian-designed Shaheds, from Sunday evening into early Monday. Air defence units intercepted more than 100 drones and several missiles.
Russia has continued its bombardment of Ukraine even while engaging in US-backed talks aimed at ending Europe’s deadliest war since World War II.
Kyiv and Moscow remain at odds over territorial divisions, with Russia demanding full control of Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region as part of any deal.
