Russia on Thursday said standard postal deliveries from the US have resumed.

Russian Post, the country’s national postal operator, told state media TASS that deliveries resumed at the end of May, with the first batch arriving in the country via transit in third countries.

“Delivery is carried out via transit flights through third countries using existing logistics solutions,” the operator said.

Another industry source told the outlet that, prior to the resumption of standard postal deliveries, packages were sent via private carriers with limited networks in the US.

Deliveries via the national carrier now “[covers] the entire country,” the person added.

Russian outlet Vedomosti, citing the operator’s press release, reported that package deliveries from the US to Russia under the “Gift,” “Documents,” and “Commercial Sample” categories resumed at the end of 2025.

The outlet added that at one point, deliveries to the US totaled 50 tons per month, consisting mostly of “clothing, footwear, electronics, and dietary supplements.”

The US Postal Service has struck Russia off the service disruption list as of May 19, 2026, after announcing a service suspension to Russia in March 2022, at the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The reason for the latest resumption is unclear.
