Russian forces dropped six guided aerial bombs (KABs) on the Sumy territorial community on Wednesday, July 15, striking a busy civilian area and killing at least three people, according to regional authorities.

Sumy Regional Military Administration (OVA) head Oleh Hryhorov said the attack initially left three people dead and seven injured. Later updates raised the number of wounded to 17.

According to Hryhorov, one of the bombs struck near medical facilities in a densely populated area with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The remaining strikes reportedly hit infrastructure facilities.

Among the victims are a woman and a man. Authorities said the third victim sustained such severe injuries that the person’s gender could not immediately be determined.
