Conservative political commentator and prominent MAGA figure Laura Loomer called on the United States to provide Ukraine with additional Patriot missiles after experiencing repeated Russian air raids during a visit to Kyiv.
In a post published on X on Monday, July 27, Loomer said spending several nights under air raid alerts and taking shelter from Russian ballistic missile attacks had changed her view on the urgency of strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses.

“It’s time for the US to give Ukraine access to Patriot Missiles,” she wrote.
“I truly believe this is urgent”
Loomer said she had repeatedly rushed to bomb shelters after Russia launched ballistic missiles toward Kyiv and witnessed damage caused by Russian attacks, including to American businesses operating in Ukraine.
“I hope Ukraine is given Patriot Missiles. I never thought I would ever say this, but I truly believe this is urgent and necessary,” she wrote.
She described Patriot systems as purely defensive weapons designed to intercept Russian missiles targeting Ukrainian cities, civilian infrastructure and power facilities.
According to Loomer, supplying Patriots would save lives, protect critical infrastructure and force Russia to expend expensive missiles without enabling Ukrainian strikes inside Russia or requiring the deployment of US troops.
Support for Ukraine also protects US interests
Loomer argued that strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses would also serve American national security interests by weakening Russia’s military partnership with Iran.

She cited US officials and Ukrainian intelligence as saying Moscow had shared targeting intelligence and satellite imagery with Tehran to support attacks against US forces in the Middle East.
“Providing Patriots is low-risk leverage that defends Ukrainian civilians, raises the cost of Russian aggression, and weakens an axis of evil already costing American lives,” she wrote.
Loomer also argued that helping Ukraine now could prevent Russia from expanding its aggression elsewhere.
“The Ukrainians are willing to shed their blood so Americans don’t have to,” she said. “If Ukraine falls, Russia will replicate what they have done here in other parts of Europe and eventually the US.”
She concluded her appeal by urging US President Donald Trump and the Department of Defense not to allow Russia’s aggression to continue expanding.
Russian forces launched a widespread drone and ballistic missile attack against Ukraine early Sunday morning, striking multiple urban centers and civilian maritime infrastructure.
In Kyiv, debris and strikes caused fires across the Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko noted that debris hit an 18-story residential building, igniting a fire on the 7th and 8th floors. No casualties were reported in the capital. Concurrently, Russian forces attacked the central city of Kryvyi Rih, striking a shopping center and causing a large fire. In the Black Sea, on July 25, Russian drones twice struck a civilian cargo ship sailing under the flag of Palau as it departed a port in the Odesa region carrying 2,800 tons of corn.
