Early Sunday morning, July 26, Russia launched 8 missiles and 136 drones of various types at Ukraine.
During the most recent overnight attacks, Russian forces launched 8 missiles and 136 drones, targeting the Kherson, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv regions, as well as the capital, Kyiv.
Zelensky emphasized that the government is working with its partners every day to ensure that Ukrainians have the means to counter these attacks.
“We need to thwart Russia’s reliance on ballistic terror. That is why it is so important that anti-ballistic missile systems arrive on time. Every interceptor missile is literally helping to save lives right now, as long as it is here, in Ukrainian systems, rather than in our partners’ warehouses. Thank you to everyone who is helping in this way,” the President added.

The overnight barrage caused casualties and infrastructure damage across multiple urban centers.

In the northeastern city of Kharkiv, the casualty toll from a drone strike on a residential neighborhood was updated to one confirmed fatality and 9 injured individuals, including 2 children.
Earlier in the morning, a separate fiber-optic FPV drone struck a bakery delivery truck in the city’s Shevchenkivskyi district, injuring the 43-year-old driver.
In the central city of Kryvyi Rih, emergency services continued operations to extinguish a large fire at a construction hypermarket caused by a targeted strike.
In Kyiv, a ballistic missile strike injured 3 people – 2 men and 2 woman – in the Solomianskyi district. Debris and strikes caused fires across the Desnianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts, damaging a warehouse, multiple vehicles, an abandoned structure, and the upper floors of an 18-story residential building.
The nationwide aerial bombardment coincided with a renewed assault on civilian maritime infrastructure in the Black Sea.
On the evening of July 25, Russian forces launched a double drone strike against a civilian cargo ship sailing under the flag of Palau as it departed a port in the Odesa region transporting approximately 2,800 tons of corn to Greece.
Seven crew members and a Ukrainian pilot were rescued, while a search and rescue operation remains ongoing for two sailors who went missing after the initial explosion.
