Russian forces struck Kharkiv’s Industrial District with guided aerial bombs (KABs), wounding civilians and damaging infrastructure on Friday, Oct. 24.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram that two KABs hit the district, with emergency services working at the scene. Later, regional head Oleh Synehubov reported at least four attacks in total.

Terekhov confirmed that one attack hit a car depot, damaging more than 20 vehicles, while another struck a civilian enterprise. Three people were injured, one of whom was hospitalized. The fire is still being extinguished.
Later, the number of victims from the Russian attack on Kharkiv’s Industrial District has risen to six.
“Among them is a 69-year-old woman who suffered an acute stress reaction. Medical teams are on site, providing all necessary assistance,” Synehubov reported.
Later, the mayor of Kharkiv clarified that the city was attacked with five KABs.
“At one of the impact sites, the blast wave also damaged two high-rise buildings - windows were shattered... The number of injured has risen to nine,” the report said.
Meanwhile, in Kherson, Russian shelling killed two people and injured 19 others, including three children, early Friday morning.
Regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin said Russian forces struck the city’s Korabelny district around 7.30 a.m. A woman was killed when a minibus was hit, and another victim’s identity is being established.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration (OVA), the wounded children - aged 15, 16, and 17 - suffered concussions and shrapnel injuries. All are receiving medical care.
Later, the State Emergency Service (DSNS) clarified that the number of injured in the morning shelling of Kherson has risen to 21.
These attacks are following a massive overnight drone attack on Ukraine, targeting several regions and disrupting railway traffic, according to official reports.
In Kherson, a Shahed drone struck a residential high-rise in the city’s Dnipro district, injuring an 80-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man and sparking a fire, the regional administration said.
In the Kirovohrad region, Russian drones ignited multiple fires and damaged railway infrastructure, though no casualties were reported. Ukrzaliznytsia said four trains were delayed for over two hours but service has since been restored. Disruptions were also reported in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
The Air Force said Russia launched 128 strike drones overnight - about 90 of them Shaheds - attacking from several axes. Ukrainian air defenses destroyed or jammed 72 of the drones, but at least 47 struck targets in 10 regions.
